| The
Carrera is based on the TOP World Championship winning teardown featuring
dual ball bearings, G12 magnets housed in a 1.4mm thick can, and an endbell
that incorporates two sets of brush hood heatsinks as well as dual brush
dampers. Surface mount capacitors are pre-installed in the endbell so no
additional capacitors are needed. Each pattern wound armature is epoxied using a high temperature resin to guarantee no internal movement. The commutator is first connected to the coils using a high temperature silver alloy, then diamond trued for maximum conductivity. Each armature is epoxy balanced on a high-tech dynamic balancer to prevent magnetic field interruption. After expert hand assembly the spacing in the magnetic field is checked, race tested 2151 brushes and Viper 135 degree springs are added, and the completed motor is tested on a custom dynamometer to verify it meets the rigorous standards set by Peak. |
