27 Turn A Final

Leg 1
The first lap was very clean, with all the drivers taking care into the first corner and prevent the usual first corner pile up. Richmond led from Nathan, but this was to be shortly lived with Richmond making a small mistake, from which he would be unable to recover his first place position leaving him defending third place from Elliot Boots. Nathan slowly began to draw a small lead from fourth place qualifier Neil Castle, who unable to close the gap and make a challenge for the lead, allowed Nathan to take the first leg win.

19 Turn A Final

Leg 1
The usual first corner mayhem was to be the order for this final! The winner out of it all was pole sitter Chris Kerswell who managed to avoid most (but not all) of the carnage, and from here he would be un-stoppable taking the first leg victory by 6 seconds from Mark Stiles who had battled his way through the field after being one of the first corner casualties. Much like Mark, Christopher Delves had not come out un-scathed after the first corner and the pair spent time battling for third and fourth, but with Nathan Parker experiencing battery problems and his car slowing the pair pushed hard to catch up to Nathan to steal his second place position. Christopher made an error which dropped him back slightly from Mark who two laps from the end overtook Nathan demoting him now to third, with Christopher pushing hard to catch him. But the second corner from the end saw Nathan make a small error causing his car to roll over and allowing Christopher to take third place in the first leg.

Leg 2
After the first final’s mayhem, the second final had to be better. With Nathan and Ricky sitting the last one out there was a little more room on the grid and allowing the drivers to get a clean start. On the first lap Chris Kerswell took the lead and would maintain it to the end taking the overall victory, whilst his team mate Christopher Delves would manage to sneak past Mark Stiles in front of the rostrum after the pair had been promoted to second and third after Fabein Simonini had made a first lap error. The race was on between the pair, who had closed up the gap to Chris Kerswell, but with Christopher made a small mistake giving Mark the opportunity to take second position at this stage in the race. Chris Kerswell started pull away at this point to ensure a Corally victory, and once again Mark and Christopher were racing bumper to bumper, except this time it was Mr. Delves who was chasing. Tapping the back of Marks car caused him to roll over on the second corner after the main straight so Christopher had to wait till Mark could be turned over by a marshal. Meanwhile Steven Lissamore had worked his way up to fourth from tenth on the grid, and with the incident between Chris and Mark, promoted him to second where he would battle with Neil Mottram till the end of the five minutes. After the marshal turned Mark over, the pair began to battle again giving Mark a fourth and Christopher a seventh.

Modified A Final

Leg 1
The start of the race would be clean for the pole sitter Adam Rogers allowing him to start his goal of wining the meeting once again and duplicating his result from the last round. Glenn Doman would manage to pass Kevin on the first lap giving him second position but due to motor problems had to retire later taking him out of the running for a podium finish. Meanwhile his team mate Andy Childs would take advantage of Glenn’s retirement and take second position in the first leg, being the only other driver to remain on the same lap as Adam who was 8 seconds up on Andy! Brian Eldridge, who had worked his way up from eighth position on the grid with an excellent drive took up third position at the end of the five minutes. Adam would take the win with ease, continuing his dominance of this meeting and taking him closer to repeating his performance at the last round.

Leg 2
Once again Adam would lead from the start giving him the clear run he would need to take the victory. It wouldn’t be as clean as his first run with Adam traction rolling once or twice but regardless of this he was so far in front he would be just untouchable. With Adam securing his first place, it was down to the rest of the field to battle for the remaining positions. Glenn and Andy were racing respectively for second and third position, but with Glenn making a small error it gave Andy the second place position which would once again give him second overall. This had dropped Glenn back down to sixth, where unable to make a come back and thus John Pape was promoted to third. Kevin Brunsden would have to retire with mechanical problems preventing him from a podium position.
