27 Turn A Final
Leg 1
The first leg saw plenty of the usual first corner carnage, with Brian Shardlow being rapidly demoted to the back of the pack after a first corner incident. Whilst this was all taking place Dave Ledger took advantage of the clear track ahead of him and showed his speed and consistency on this tricky track, and started to pull away from the rest of the pack. Meanwhile Paul Pinkney was slowly working his way up the field from his tenth qualifying spot to eventually put his car second at the end of the race; proving that there is everything to gain from being the tenth qualifier! By the end of the race Dave had pulled out a healthy lead over Paul, with Philip Randall finishing up third not far behind Paul.

  Leg 2
Another first corner incident would once more allow Dave to pull away slightly from the pack, with yet again Brian Shardlow losing out and being displaced from his second qualifying position. Dave would maintain his lead until a small incident cost him his lead of the race, which would culminated in a three-way battle between John Painter, Dave Ringsall and Philip Randal. These three raced to the line with two seconds between them all with John taking the win, Dave in second place and Philip third. Whilst this battle was in progress, leg 1 winner Dave had Brian Shardlow hot on his heels looking for a way past; in the end Dave took fourth with Brian 0.05 seconds behind him in fifth!

  19 Turn A Final
Leg 1
The usual first final corner mayhem would not feature in this race, with the pack getting a clean start into the first corner. Rob led Christopher with Dave Soul chasing hard. Rob made one mistake, clipping a corner that had caused him problems all day, and so handed the lead over to Christopher who pulled away from the pack. Behind Christopher, Nathan Parker put in fast lap times and gained on the leader; eventually Nathan managed to get right up behind him in the last thirty seconds of the race and tapped Christopher, but even though Nathan did the gentlemanly thing and waited, another incident with a back marker allowed Nathan to take the lead in the dying seconds of the race, leaving Christopher and Steve Lissamore fighting for second and third. The race only lasted two more laps, but Steve Lissamore had finally got his car set up right and was looking for a way past Christopher. In the end Steve missed out on second by 0.09 seconds. Meanwhile Rob Fox had been battling with Malcolm Hall for fifth place, with the pair swapping positions for most of the race, but a mistake from Malcolm gave Rob fifth in the race after an unfortunate mistake at the start of the race.

  Leg 2
Unlike the first leg, this one would not be as clean as the last. Rob Fox led from the start with Christopher Delves once again chasing hard. Nathan Parker managed to sneak past the first corner incident and take third and looked to chase hard to take victory once again. Christopher’s car traction rolled on the first lap, putting his car onto the top of the track marking, making him unable to move until the marshal assisted him; this demoted him to the back of the pack. Rob and Nathan went on to race until an incident caused Nathan to retire with a broken car. Rob eventually took the win, despite a few minor problems with back markers, and Dave Soul took second place and showed good speed, Richard Bettaney was placed in third, after working his way up from seventh on the grid.

  Modified A Final
Leg 1
With Adam still setting his car up, and not finding the optimum just yet, there was still a chance for the others to pose a possible challenge! Into the first corner there was the usual havoc, with Rich White at the forefront of it and having to retire after only completing a single lap. The front three broke away from the pack and Elliott and Kit were chasing the back of Adam’s Schumacher hard, but their efforts were in vain as Adam began to pull out a lead from Elliott who likewise pulled out his own lead on Kit. In the end the three were evenly spaced out with twelve seconds between them! All three drivers drove a faultless race, showing their talents around this tight circuit. The man on the move in this final was Lee Hedges, who moved up to fifth after qualifying tenth on the grid; but the race was between Keith Helmke and Dax Jean Baptiste for 8th and 9th place, with Dax being the victor by a mere 0.8 seconds.

Leg 2
During this leg Adam charged hard and it was obvious to everyone that he was getting faster all the time with his new car; he led from start to finish and put in a time that was five seconds faster than his FTD time. His average lap time was faster than everyone, but Elliott Harper held onto the fastest single lap time. Once again Rich White only completed a single lap before pulling his car off with problems; but for once there was slightly less carnage on the 1st corner! Elliott and Kit once again raced hard in an attempt to stay with Adam, but small mistakes from Kit dropped him back from Elliot and gave him a comfortable lead. Around the four and a half minute mark, Elliot made a mistake which ended his race and so handed Kit second place; Elliot had grown such a lead that he maintained his third place, despite not completing the last thirty seconds of the race, much to the disappointment of Keith Helmke who ended up fourth, turning his luck around from the 1st leg.
